Evanston, WY (October 2025)—Evanston Regional Hospital continues to deepen its affiliation with University of Utah Health, expanding access to advanced medical expertise through a suite of telehealth services that now includes TeleStroke, TeleBurn, and the previously announced TeleICU program.

Since the initial launch of TeleICU in 2017, which brought critical care consultation to Evanston’s intensive care unit via real-time video and audio communication, the hospital has steadily broadened its telehealth capabilities. These additional services—though not newly introduced—have quietly enhanced the hospital’s ability to deliver specialized care without requiring patients to travel long distances.

TeleStroke enables rapid evaluation and treatment of stroke patients by neurologists at U of U Health, improving outcomes during the critical early moments of a stroke.

TeleBurn provides access to burn specialists who can assess injuries and guide treatment plans, ensuring timely and appropriate care for complex burn cases.

These services reflect Evanston Regional Hospital’s ongoing commitment to keeping high-quality care close to home. The affiliation with University of Utah Health continues to evolve, and these telehealth programs demonstrate how technology can bridge geographic gaps in care.

University of Utah Health supports Evanston Regional Hospital in delivering specialized care through telehealth, helping ensure that patients in Evanston receive timely, expert care without leaving their community.

As with the original agreement, these expanded services do not alter hospital ownership or governance, and patients retain full choice in their providers. The collaboration remains focused on enhancing local care through innovation and shared expertise.
