Childbirth Classes

Expectant moms and dads can learn about the “big day” (and the nine months before) at Uinta County Public Health childbirth classes offered year round at ERH. You’ll learn about changes in the expectant mother’s body, how the baby grows, and what happens when your baby decides to make his or her debut. The class helps to prepare you for your childbirth experience from Comfort Measures to relaxation techniques to medications. The classes also cover breastfeeding, postpartum and newborn care, and other important topics. Each class also includes a tour of the Birthing Center. Lactation Counselors

Evanston Regional Hospital’s lactation counselors are trained to help enhance your breastfeeding experience. The lactation counselors will discuss your concerns, observe you and your baby during feeding and offer guidance on how to get the most out of breastfeeding.
