Evanston Regional Hospital Names Mary Armijo, MBA, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer
Evanston, WY (Jan. 9, 2026)—Evanston Regional Hospital announced today that Mary Armijo, MBA, FACHE, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2.
Armijo brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience with a strong focus on quality, operational excellence, and patient-centered care. She holds multiple professional certifications focused on quality improvement, including Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and earned her Lean Health Care Certification from Belmont University.
Most recently, Armijo served as Chief Operating Officer of Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and previously held leadership roles at Upper Peninsula Health System in Marquette, Michigan, where she helped lead the construction and transition to a new tertiary care hospital campus.

Armijo earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in information systems and healthcare management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She was awarded the ACHE Regents Award in 2023 for her contributions to healthcare leadership excellence.
The hospital also expressed appreciation to Bob Moore, who served as Interim CEO during the leadership transition.
