Getting answers about your health shouldn’t mean traveling far from home. At Evanston Regional Hospital, our laboratory team provides testing services to support diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care—right here in your community.
We understand that timely information is important to both patients and providers. Our team works closely with physicians and care teams to process tests efficiently and communicate results as part of your care plan.
Our laboratory is equipped to perform a wide range of routine and specialized tests. Whether you’re visiting for preventive screening, managing a chronic condition, or need testing as part of a hospital stay, our staff is here to support your care with attention and professionalism.
Evanston Regional Hospital’s laboratory is a Joint Commission and CLIA certified (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), meeting federal requirements for quality standards in laboratory testing. This certification reflects adherence to established guidelines for accuracy, reliability, and patient safety.
What to Expect
Hours & Access: Laboratory services are available for both hospital patients and outpatient visits. Some tests may require an appointment, while others can be completed on a walk-in basis.
Mon-Fri 8:00 AM -6:00 PM
Weekends 9 AM-12 PM. Excluding holidays.
Upon arrival, all patients should register at admissions before proceeding to the lab.
Preparing for Your Test: Certain lab tests may require fasting or other preparation. Be sure to follow any instructions provided by your healthcare provider prior to your visit.
During Your Visit: Our team will guide you through the collection process and work to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
Results: Test results are shared with your provider, who will review them with you and discuss next steps if needed.
Questions: If you have questions about your test or preparation, your provider’s office or our hospital team can help guide you.
