The 30 Minute ER Pledge and what it means for you.

In a medical emergency, every minute matters. That’s why, at Evanston Regional Hospital, we work diligently to have you initially seen by a medical professional within 30 minutes of your arrival in the ER.  We are proud to offer comprehensive emergency services and dedicated specialists to treat a variety of conditions.

The Emergency Department (ED) average wait time presented on this site is provided as an informational service to the public. It is approximate, and based on a rolling average that is updated four times an hour and does not represent the actual current activity in the ER waiting room.

When patients enter the Emergency Department at Evanston Regional Hospital, the time of their arrival will be noted. Our pledge is that a clinical professional (physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner) will work diligently to have our patients initially seen within 30 minutes of their noted arrival.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you need to go the emergency room, we’re ready for you 24/7.
